Ellie Pomerleau

Ellie Pomerleau joined the WMTV 15 News team in November 2025 as a reporter for The Morning Show and co-anchor of WMTV's Sunday morning newscast.

Ellie isn't a stranger to the Badger State or to early mornings. She began her journalism journey in 2022 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, as an intern at WEAU. She then took on a morning reporter role at WEAU in 2023 and moved behind the anchor desk for Hello Wisconsin in 2024, where she stayed until her move to Madison.

Originally from Princeton, Minnesota, Ellie moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, in 2020 to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. There she discovered her passion for storytelling at the campus TV station TV-10. At TV-10, Ellie wore many hats. She served as a reporter and anchor for the station's newscast, Blugold News Now. She was also a sideline reporter for the Blugold football team and helped other students learn about broadcasting in her role as station manager.

Ellie graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2023 with a degree in journalism and political science.

When Ellie isn't out in the field, she enjoys watching movies or walking with her dog, Kona.
