Former SCF Baseball Coach elected to Hall of Fame

Tim Hill Sr., a former baseball coach at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, will be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in January. Hill, who led the SCF Manatees for 31 seasons, was one of the winningest junior college coaches of all time. For his career, he amassed a record of 1193-550-3 (.683) and ranked sixth all-time in wins among junior college coaches as of 2016.

Venice H.S. to start area's first boys volleyball team
