Mike came to the Suncoast after 40 years of forecasting snow, snow, and more snow up north in South Dakota. Right after a trip to look for a vacation condo in 2020, ABC7 posted a job for a Meteorologist for the new Good Morning Suncoast Weekends show. Mike accepted the job on the last day of August, then it snowed on Labor Day. The timing was perfect in all respects. With his wife, Lisa, and their cat, Tabitha, they are enjoying discovering the Suncoast. So much so that Mike has a weekly feature called "Discovering the Suncoast", where he explores unique and historic stories here in Paradise.
