Jim has more than 40 years of reporting and editing experience in radio, TV, newspapers and nonprofit organizations in markets including Washington, D.C., Maryland, Colorado, Hawaii and Florida.
Jim has worked a wide variety of beats in his career, including religion, NASA and baseball. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland. He holds a private pilot certificate and is a PADI-certified Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
In his spare time, he umpires women's fastpitch softball at tournaments across the state.
