(CNN) — The CDC has updated guidance for people possibly exposed to hantavirus.
People can quarantine at home so long as they stay away from others, wear a mask and do not travel.
The World Health Organization has confirmed 10 cases linked to a cruise ship that docked in the Canary Islands on Sunday.
In the U.S., 41 people are being monitored.
Passengers on the MV Hondius and people who sat within two rows of a symptomatic cruise ship passenger on a plane are at high risk.
Anyone sitting anywhere on a plane with such a person is considered at standard risk.
The CDC is asking people at both risk levels to monitor their health for 42 days after exposure.
