Sarasota County school zone signals damaged during Milton

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Sarasota County Schools is asking everyone to be especially cautious in school zones as some signals were damaged during the hurricane and have not yet been repaired.

Below is a list of the schools where there are still issues with the school zone signals:

• Ashton Elementary
• Emma E. Booker Elementary
• Fruitville Elementary
• Garden Elementary
• Gocio Elementary School
• Gulf Gate Elementary
• Out of Door Academy
• Riverview High School
• Sky Academy
• Wilkinson Elementary

Even when lights are not flashing during drop-off and pickup, the school zone speed limit of 15 mph will still be enforced. As always, drive without distractions and use extra caution.
