Coach John Peacock leading Venice Varsity Football on another state title run

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Coach John Peacock’s goal this season and every season is to get better and compete for the state championship.

“The moment you start looking ahead of yourself, and you start sizing yourself for your ring, or you start planning a parade your season will be over. So that’s one thing that we got to focus on is who is our next opponent,” Coach Peacock said.

Senior transfer quarterback Jadyn Glasser says this team will show improvement.

“Just everyone getting the plays down no mess ups, and each play just knowing the thing like the back of your hand, and just executing every play,” Glasser said.

Two-time FHSSA state championship winning John Peacock tells ABC7′S Sports Anchor James Hill his team must remain focused on practices, executing plays during games and winning.

“What’s important right now is we just take it one game at a time,” Peacock said.

Coach Peacock and the Venice Indians host IMG White on Friday, Oct. 27 at home.
