El Jobean Fishing Pier closed due to ‘aggressive bees’

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) - Charlotte County officials have announced the temporary closure of the El Jobean Fishing Pier.
The pier, located at Garden Road and River Beach Drive has been closed due to aggressive bees.
The pier is expected to be closed for several days while officials work to safely remove the bees.
County officials state that several staff members have been stung while closing the pier and investigating where the hive is. An apiary has been contacted to assist with the removal.
