SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Little will change with our weather this weekend. It may get a bit more humid by Sunday and slightly warmer, but we will stay dry and sunny with a breezy wind.

The gusty wind of the last several days will likely continue into the weekend but beginning to relax by early next week. The risk of wildfire spread will remain high as rain is not in the forecast. Remember there are burn restrictions in effect.

The stronger winds out of the east will keep any sea breeze confined to near coastal locations. UV index will be at the highest levels.

The outlook for needed rain is not good over the next week or two. The rainy season generally does not start for the Suncoast until sometime between the 15th and 25th of May. And two-week predictions indicate a good chance for dry weather to continue. It could be a active start to the wildfire season.
