SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - You may need a light jacket as you head out the door on Wednesday. North to northeast winds will bring a bit of a chill with lows dropping down to the mid to upper 50s for areas away from the beaches. Lows near the coast will hover right around 60. With high pressure dominating our weather pattern we can expect to see plenty of sunshine throughout the day warming things up into the low 80s near the coast and mid to upper 80s elsewhere.

It will be breezy once again with winds out of the ENE at 10-20 mph during the morning subsiding somewhat during the afternoon. A small craft advisory is in effect through the late morning for Suncoast waters.
We will see the humidity slowly increase Wednesday afternoon and this trend will continue through Friday as winds begin to veer around more toward the SE later this work week. There was a “Red Flag Warning” for the entire area on Tuesday as the relative humidity dropped below 35% and winds were up to 20 mph at times. This made for a dangerous high fire danger situation. We will be close on Wednesday with another red flag warning but should be seeing the humidity go up just enough to keep us out of the mix for the alert.

For Thursday and Friday look for mostly sunny skies in the morning followed by a few fair weather cumulus clouds later in the day and temperatures warming into the mid to upper 80s. The humidity will be back and it will feel a little warmer as well especially on Friday.
The weekend is looking good with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s and only a 20% chance for a late day shower or two. It is expected to stay breezy to windy through Saturday.
