SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Saturday’s rain was welcome, especially since no severe weather developed on the Suncoast. At SRQ 0.33″ fell, bringing the tw0-day total to 0.53 for Friday and Saturday. Palmetto saw 1.25″ and Venice 0.17″ for both days. Most rain totals in Tampa Bay were well over an inch. An isolated shower is still possible for Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. Thursday has the best chance of scattered afternoon storms with the next cold front approaching. By Friday that cold front will drop far to the south bringing in cooler and much drier air. Dew points will drop into the 50s for a more comfortable feel by Friday and next weekend!
