SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Yesterday’s cool front retreats back north as a warm front moves in today and the Suncoast is kept in the warm and muggy air.
The afternoon temperatures will climb to the mid-80s near the coastal communities with low 90s possible in inland communities, if we get enough sunshine. These warm and humid days, with high temperatures running 10 degrees above average, will continue tomorrow as well. Things will change on Thursday as a cold front approaches.
Timing of the Thursday front will likely be in the late afternoon or evening with the front itself moving past and shifting winds.
Prior to that, we could see a shower in the morning or early afternoon as the front approaches. The rain chance is small at 20%. Once the front passes the temperatures will fall and overnight Thursday into Friday temperatures could dip into the low 50s, a 20-degree drop. Friday will be in the low 70s and the weekend in the mid-to-upper 70s with low humidity.
