SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - A cold front arriving today will sink south, lose energy and stall. It will not trigger off a rain chance for us but will keep us in the clouds.
The clouds will cut down on daytime heating and keep our high temperatures a few degrees below recent highs. However, tomorrow the front will turn on its heels and returns north as a warm front and our temperatures will respond by warming several degrees. Expect well above normal highs in the upper 80s near the coast and near 90 inland for several days.
The larger change in our weather will come Wednesday into Thursday as the next front arrives. This front will be a stronger one and drop Thursday’s temperatures into the upper 70s. By Friday enough cool air will move in on a breezy wind to keep high temperatures in the lower 70s. The cooler and drier air will linger into the weekend.
