SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Clouds will mix away this afternoon and skies will become mostly sunny. This will signal the building of high pressure over the Suncoast and a warming trend that will last for the foreseeable future, with only minor fluctuations.
Today we get upper 70s for high temperatures near the coast and low 80s inland. That will be anywhere from 5 to 8 degrees warmer than yesterday. Tomorrow add another 5 degrees to the high. By Friday humidity will return and make the afternoons sticky as inland temperatures climb to near 90.
Long-range computer models keep us dry in the extended range. There may be some hope for a few showers next Sunday into Monday as the next cool front moves past, but currently, it appears as if that front will pass through dry.
