SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) -After a very cold start to the day, plentiful amounts of sunshine and a shift in the wind to the south will bost our afternoon high temperatures into the 70′s by tomorrow. The wind shift is in response to an advancing cold front that will spike our weekend rain chances on both Saturday and Sunday. However, the next cold front will not lower the temperatures all that much. We will remain in the 70′s into next week.
The timing of the weekend showers still appears to be starting in the second half of Saturday with chances lingering into the first half of Sunday. Some of the rain could be moderate but severe weather is not expected. The front will stall over us or just to our south and will not allow much cooler air into the Suncoast. On Monday the front moves north as a warm front and brings another chance for showers. A potentially much colder front may arrive in about 10 days.
