BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) - One person has been arrested following a shooting incident in Bradenton.

Around 3:30 pm Monday, a deputy observed the occupants of a silver Hyundai shooting at a white Ford Flex as they crossed over 9th Street West from 11th Avenue West. Immediately after observing the deputy turned on 11th Avenue to catch up to the vehicles. The Hyundai then turned onto 12th Street West where it lost control, crashed and the occupants of the car took off running on foot.

Police and deputies set tup a perimeter and two suspects were observed running near 18th Avenue and 13th Street West. Officers quickly caught up with Anthony Dawson was taken into custody in the 1300 block of 18th Avenue West. During his arrest, the other suspects were observed running south towards 1311 18th Avenue West.

A K9 was immediately brought to the scene and the area was locked down. During the track, it was believed that one of the suspects was hiding inside of an attic of a large shed. SWAT was activated and cleared the shed. No suspects were located.

During the investigation, it was learned that the silver Hyundai was stolen earlier in the day out of Okeechobee County and the victim provided a similar suspect description to Dawson. Narcotics were located inside of the vehicle. Dawson is charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction.

The white Ford Flex was not located. There have been no reports of injuries. The investigation continues.
