State of Florida to require proof of residency before distributing COVID-19 vaccine

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Florida Surgeon General Scott Rivkees announced that the state will begin requiring people to show proof that they are state residents before they are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

This follows confusion over who was eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines.

Recipients must give the provider a Florida driver’s license or ID card. Seasonal residents can show a mortgage, rent or utility bill or lease agreement.
