SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The Florida Department of Health’s Thursday update reports 19,473 new cases in the state since Wednesday’s update. That brings total cases in the state to 1,429,722.

The state positivity rate fell to 11.6% with a positivity rate of 9.3% in Manatee County and 7.96% in Sarasota.

164 new deaths were reported but that does not mean that all deaths occurred in the past 24 hours.
