SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - A series of cold fronts will bring cool temperatures to the Suncoast for the weekend and into next week. The fronts for the next seven to 10 days do not appear to be extremely cold, with anything close to freezes, but will keep us in slightly cooler than average high temperatures and chilly, crisp nights. There will be numerous days with mostly sunny to full sun skies.
That said, today will be similar to yesterday with temperatures near 70 and lots of sun but tomorrow will feature more clouds and a slightly warmer afternoon. This will be due to shifting winds in advance of our next cold front. The front will approach in the pre-dawn hours of Friday with a small chance for showers, most of which will be gone by the early Friday morning drive-time. Clouds will linger Friday, even after the frontal passage, as cooler air moves in. Saturday’s temperatures will only top out in the low to mid 60′s.
