24-year-old man killed in overnight Christmas Day crash

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - A 24-year-old from Sarasota was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the overnight hours of Christmas Day.
It happened just after 1 a.m. According to a police report, the man was traveling on eastbound Beach Road, west of Beachway Drive.
The driver missed a curve, rotated and traveled off the roadway before colliding with a utility pole. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Officials have not released the young man’s identity.
