SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The cold front that passed by yesterday is now in South Florida and our north wind is bring in dry and cooler air. Our morning temperatures came in about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than 24 hours ago and that trend will continue with our daytime highs. Expect afternoon temperatures to top out in the upper 70′s this afternoon. Winds will become gusty this afternoon and even more so tomorrow as a secondary cool front moves in and dissipates. The waters will be agitated and Small Craft Advisories will be up through Thursday.
Very long range computer models continue to show a cold front with a chance for showers close to Thanksgiving Day next week. At this time it appears the front will be past on Wednesday and leave Thursday mostly to partly cloudy and mild, with highs in the low 80′s. Pleasant weather should then linger into the holiday weekend.
