Public hearing set for Tuesday about U.S. 41 design project

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) - The Florida Department of Transportation District One, is expected to host a public hearing on Tuesday in Bradenton.

The hearing is set to take place at the Bayshore Gardens Community Clubhouse. Open house is expected to begin at 5:30 p.m., with the actual formal presentation being held at 6:00 p.m.

According to a press release by FDOT, the purpose of the public hearing is to present information and input from the public about the design project for proposed improvements to U.S. 41 from 63rd Avenue West to 53rd Avenue West in Manatee County.

The project would add traffic separators, repave the roadway, replace signal loops and apply new pavement markings.

The hearing will be held both in-person and online so that there can be maximum participation, but registration is required for both in-person and online attendance ahead of time.
