SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Monday afternoon a cold front will move past the Suncoast and winds will pick up. The northerly wind will draw down some cooler and drier air and remove any chance for rain for the next seven days. The winds will become gusty with a strong wind on Wednesday that could gust to close to 30. Might be a good idea to lower the patio umbrellas for a few days.
The tropics remain calm for the Suncoast. However, Central America is bracing for another hit from a major hurricane as Iota has become a major hurricane. This is the same area of Central America recently hit by Eta.
