Police officers and sheriff’s deputies arrived and found the body of a 20-year-old man. KVLY-TV reports the victim was found minutes after police were called to Sanford Hospital on a report of a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound. BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) - Deputies with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office have released more information following a weekend shooting that left one person dead.

The incident took place just before 7 p.m. Sunday in the 11000 block of White Rock Terrace in Bradenton. Deputies say a husband and wife were involved in an argument when the husband was shot twice.

He later died from his injuries at a local hospital.

Officials have identified the shooter as Ashley C. Benefield. Investigators say they are still looking into the events that led to the shooting.
