SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Nearly a year after the Selby Gardens presented its plans for new additions to their property, they are back at the drawing board hoping for a different outcome.

The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens are one of the Suncoast’s most popular spots for visitors and weddings. Concerns were raised over the height of the parking structure and operation of a planned public restaurant being incongruous with the City’s comprehensive plan, noise from the planned restaurant, and the potential for increased traffic.

Ty Hall, the vice president of the Bay Point Neighborhood Association, sent a list to ABC7 of the items that those who live in the area have asked for from Marie Selby prior to the release of the compromise.
