CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) - The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office tweeted a photo of a destroyed sheriff’s sign with a caption to illustrate the full irony of the situation.

A driver who allegedly was drinking crashed into the trailer that was part of the departments “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign.”

The department did not identify the driver, but it’s a powerful reminder that law enforcement is out and watching for intoxicated drivers.
