SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public about four sex offenders that are now living in the community.
All four of the individuals are males and they are 62-year-old Michael Vaughn, 31-year-old Brandon Knoll, 43-year-old Jesse Leahy and 36-year-old Robert Montgomery.
Vaughn was convicted in 2007 in Maryland on two counts of child pornography and was sentenced to seven years in prison. He was released in 2008 because five years from his original sentence was suspended. In 2011, Vaughn did not meet sex offender registration requirements in Texas and was sentenced to five years behind bars.
He recently relocated and law enforcement says his address is in the 1200 block of 13th Street in the City of Sarasota.
Knoll was convicted in 2010 in Sarasota County of lewd or lascivious assault by having sexual intercourse with a child in between 12 to 15 years old. Knoll was sentenced to 12 years in prison followed by years of probation.
He was just released and police say his address is in the 100th block of Happy Haven Drive in Osprey.
Leahy was convicted in 1994 in Massachusetts of indecent assault on person 14 years old or over. He was sentenced to six months in jail followed by probation. In 2017, he was convicted in Sarasota County of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and served an additional two years behind bars.
Leahy was just released and police say that he will live in the area of University Parkway and North Washington Boulevard in Sarasota.
Montgomery was convicted in 2011 in Sarasota County for impregnating a girl under 16 years old and an additional case of lewd or lascivious assault on a victim in between the ages of 12 to 15 years old. Montgomery was sentenced to 10 years in prison with credit for time followed by five years of probation.
He was just released and law enforcement says his address is in the 400th block of Pelican Road in Venice.
