NORTH PORT, Fla. (WWSB) - There’s some good news for foodies on the Suncoast and in particular in Sarasota County.
North Port city leaders are now allowing food trucks to do business within city limits, but there are some rules.
Under the new ordinance, vendors must complete a detailed permit application. They have to prove they have current licenses and pass fire and safety inspections and show proof of insurance. Vendors must also pay a $100 dollar fee.
The commission just signed off on this ordinance on Wednesday and already “Uncle Louie’s Itailian Ice” is going through the approval process.
