SARASOTA (WWSB) High pressure is still in control this week and we will see mostly dry and hot temperatures all week long. There is only a small chance of rain on Monday and Tuesday and after that, we are expecting even lower chances between Wednesday and this upcoming holiday weekend.
Sunblock will be necessary if you are heading outdoors for any length of time. Winds will be shifting about from the west to the east around 5-10 mph. The area of disturbed weather in the Atlantic is now showing a 40% chance of development over the next 48 hours to 5 days.
This system will continue to move North and and then Northeast...away from the state of Florida. It’s just a good reminder that Hurricane Season officially starts June 1 and it is time to think about getting your hurricane plans and supplies in place.
