SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - High pressure is sprawling across the SE U.S. and will be the main weather feature through the upcoming week as it will not move much.
This pressure pattern and its position will bring us mainly E to SE winds which will bring in some warm weather our way with highs running 3-5 degrees above average. The rain chances will stay at 30% or below through the next 7 days due to this high pressure.
We will see generally sunny skies with winds out of the east at 10 mph with a sea breeze developing near the coast. Look for only a few isolated thunderstorms late in the day while most areas will stay dry.
This by the way is fairly typical for this time of year with our normal summer thunderstorm period beginning around mid June.
