Pattern is setting up to be a very warm and fairly dry rest of May

Temperatures to be above average over the weekend

First Alert Weather - 6:00pm May 15, 2019

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Get ready for some fairly quiet weather over the next 7 days as high pressure begins to dig in over the SE U.S. Typically in May we only see about 3 inches of rainfall.

This pattern may persist through the rest of May. Long range models are suggesting that we will see not see much of a change, in fact in Georgia they could see highs in the upper 90′s to near 100 in 10 days from now.

So for Thursday expect mostly sunny skies with highs around 84 at the beaches and near 90 inland. The rain chance through Friday is at 20% for an inland storm or two late in the day.

For the weekend expect mostly sunny skies in the morning followed by partly cloudy skies in the afternoon with a high around 90 each day, and mid to upper 80′s along the beaches.
