SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Wednesday that Florida broke an all-time record for visitation during the first quarter of 2019.
DeSantis said more that 35 million people visited the Sunshine State from January to March. That’s a nearly six percent increase from the first quarter of 2018.
Visit Florida estimates that a record of almost 32 million domestic visitors traveled to Florida in the first quarter, which is a more than six percent increase from last year.
