SARASOTA (WWSB) - Florida wildlife experts are keeping their eyes on a three-legged bear who seems to be thriving regardless of the handicap.
Now, wild life officials just want to warn people not to feed it because that might create unintended consequences.
“We don’t want people feeding it, or feeling sorry for it, and leaving food out for it,” Chad Weber of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission said. “It can feed itself.”
Right now state officials say by all accounts the bear is at a proper weight and isn’t acting un-naturally. They’re asking people to leave it alone.
