SARASOTA (WWSB) - Another beautiful day can be expected on Wednesday as high pressure remains in control. A low pressure system will move out of the Southern Plains and bring a slight increase in cloudiness but should still be nice. Highs on both days will be in the low to mid 80s.
By Friday the storm center will be over lower MS valley and the cold front in the Central Gulf. This front will move through our area in the afternoon and evening bringing showers and a few thunderstorms. Right now it does not appear that the storms will be severe but could produce some heavy rain at time with an occasional thunderstorm. Rainfall totals right now are expected to be near 1/4 to 1/2 inch of rain.
The front should continue to move south and eventually wash out over S. Florida over the weekend. There will be enough instability and moisture left behind the front that we may see an isolated shower or two over the weekend but that chance is small at 20%.
So for the weekend we will see partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 80s.
