SARASOTA (WWSB) - Beautiful mid April weather to continue on Tuesday with highs in the low 80s at area beaches and mid 80s elsewhere. Skies will remain mostly sunny through the day and light winds out of the east at first with a west wind later in the day as the sea breeze develops.
A storm system will get its act together over Texas and eventually break down the high pressure which will be bringing us the nice weather over the next couple of days. As this low emerges out of the S. Plains it will bring an increase in cloudiness on Friday along with a good chance for some showers and possible thunderstorm later in the day.
The European forecast model is showing this system passing further to the north of our area and thus having a much small impact on our weather over the weekend compared to the US model (GFS). We will have a better handle on this situation after Tuesday with new computer forecast models.
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 80s near the coast and mid 80s away from the water.
