Firefighters respond to sailboat fire in canal in Englewood

SARASOTA (WWSB) - Firefighters were called in after a sailboat caught fire in a canal in Englewood.
The fire broke out around 3pm on a sailboat around 40-feet in length on the 1900 block of Fairview Drive in Englewood.
An ambulance was requested but no one was transported.
No further details were immediately available, but a photo Alex Ricketson shows the aftermath of the blaze:
