YMCA tree trimming criticized

VENICE, Fla. -- A certified arborist says the oak trees at the South County YMCA in Venice have been improperly trimmed and will likely die.

The arborist is also a member at the club and says the beautiful live oak trees used to provide shade in the parking lot, but are now "grotesque tree trunks".

She says she requested the work be stopped and offered proper training but was rejected.
