We have a system that may develop over the next couple of days in the Southwest Gulf of Mexico, or Western Caribbean, which is the remnants of the Pacific storm Barbara that made landfall in Mexico earlier this week.

The computer forecast model we use is showing something developing in the Gulf as early as Sunday and then moving into the Central Gulf by Monday.

The first named storm of the Atlantic season would be Andrea.

Hurricane Season officially begins Saturday.  Are you prepared?

Tune in to ABC 7 Saturday at 7pm as Chief Meteorologist Bob Harrigan and meteorologist John Scalzi walk you through how to prepare.
