As of the 2 AM NHC (National Hurricane Center) advisory, Tropical Storm Hermine was located at 26.0N/87.0W. Max sustained winds are 60 mph. Pressure is at 999mb. Movement is to the north at 6 mph.
At this time, conditions are favorable for more strengthening, and it's still possible TS Hermine could become a minimal Hurricane by later today.
Expect more heavy downpours through the mid morning and afternoon hours. Though the core of the storm will make landfall to our north, the outer rain bands will continue to bring more heavy rainfall into the area. Yesterday, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport received 7.44" of rain in just a 24 hour period. But as Hermine inches closer to Florida, there's also the "possibility" of isolated water spouts and tornados.
