Not much change in the overall weather pattern as high pressure at surface and upper level continues to suppress thunderstorm activity along the coast. We will continue to see this kind of weather through Friday and then a shift in the high pressure away from our coast will bring in a much better chance for showers and storms over the weekend.
Highs will be slightly above average, with a heat index near 105 each afternoon through Friday.
In the tropics Invest 96 which is several hundred miles ESE of Caribbean is showing some signs of organization. This system now has a 40% chance of developing into the next named system over the weekend. There is another disturbance behind this one which is also showing some slight chance of developing as it pushes to the WNW.
