The high temperature today reached 98 degrees. This broke the old mark of 97 set back in 1917. More of the same can be expected on Friday. We did have some big storms break out along the sea breeze front and we will see a few storms again on Friday mainly in the afternoon and evening.
This pattern of afternoon storms will continue through the weekend. Highs will be above seasonal averages through Sunday.
We continue to monitor the progress of an area of disturbed weather near the Lesser Antilles. Recon aircraft did not find a tight enough low pressure to classify it as a tropical depression today. It is likely that it will become our next system in the next day or two.
There is still a lot of uncertainty with where this system will go, but the general thinking is that it will move toward the Central Bahamas and then head up North and away from FL. Stay tuned as this is subject to change.
