The weekend tended to be drier than the end of last week but now the rain chances have returned. Today we will see the chance for showers and thunderstorms returning to 60% to 70%. As a front stalls over central Florida, the Suncoast will be kept in the warm and humid air. Even if summer does end tonight, it will feel very summer like as the temperatures climb into the upper 80's. With the humid air and warm temperatures watch for storms approach from the Gulf waters and drift inland.
Some of the storms could bring some locally heavy rainfall.
The tropics remain quiet at this time.
