First Alert Weather: Keep the sweaters and jackets handy this work week

Sarasota, FL (WWSB) - The cool down will continue through most of the work week with a warm-up scheduled for the weekend.

I know getting up in the early morning walking my dog Mia has been cold to say the least, but the afternoons are going to be really nice with plenty of sunshine and low humidity.

Temperatures will stay some 10 degrees below average with highs only in the 60s through Thursday.

Winds will generally be out of the North which will keep the chill on for lows as well.  Lows on Wednesday will be in the mid 40s across much of the area.

Another push of cool air will reinforce the chilly air on Thursday with lows expected in the low to mid 40s.

On Friday we will see things warm up a bit back into the low 70s, and then upper 70s to near 80 for Saturday and Sunday.

Long range models are suggesting a another cold front early next week. This front will be tied to, can you believe it, another Nor'easter.   Right now it looks like Tuesday we will see another chance for some much needed rain, although that chance is not all that great at this time.

Have a great week.
