The much anticipated squall line made it's way through the Suncoast right on schedule on Thursday. It began late morning and was, for the most part over by 2 p.m.
The rain was heavy at times, bringing well over an estimated 2 inches in some areas. We were lucky avoiding the severe weather in our viewing area, but other areas were not so lucky
A Doppler indicated waterspout was detected shortly before Noon on Thursday just west of Indian Springs beach in Pinellas County. As it moved onshore the circulation held together and a tornado warning was issued for that area. There were no reports of any significant damage with that cell.
Cooler weather will be around through Friday and early Saturday morning and then warm up by Saturday afternoon.
