This is the last official week of Summer as Fall arrives next Monday at 10:29 p.m. A cold front is set to move through our area on Wednesday. We will see additional moisture move in ahead of the front on Tuesday and this will increase our rain chances for the Sunocast back to the 50% range which is average for this time of year. On Wednesday we will see clouds on the increase and a better chance for rain, not only in the afternoon but also during the morning hours.
Highs in places like Bradenton and Sarasota will top out in the mid 80s on Wednesday. Highs in North Port and Port Charlotte will be in the upper 80s. This little cool snap will be short lived as warmer temperatures will return early as Friday.
The tropics remain quiet here, but Edouard is on the verge of becoming the first major hurricane of the Atlantic season. Top wind with hurricane Edouard are now at 110 mph.
