FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Warm weekend ahead

SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) -  Another possibility of some fog forming exists on Saturday morning.

Some of the fog may be thick in patchy areas to start the day but should burn off by late morning and then look for partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 70s on Saturday.

Sunday should be pretty much the same as high pressure will hold on through the much of the day.  A weak cold front will move in late on Sunday with increasing cloudiness and a very small chance for a few showers.

This front will hang around through Christmas morning followed by a some clearing in the afternoon.  So mostly cloudy in the morning then partly cloudy skies are expected later in the day.

Expect slightly cooler weather but only for 24 hours and then a warming trend begins by Tuesday afternoon.

The next cold front is expected to move in the following weekend which will keep things cooler as we usher in 2018.

Have a Merry Christmas.
