First Alert Weather: Rain Chances Increasing Later This Week

Sarasota, FL (WWSB) - Windy weather will stick around throughout much of this week.

The pressure gradient will stay tight which will bring East winds at 15-20 mph throughout much of the week.  A small craft advisory is in effect for Suncoast waters through Thursday.

We can expect a few scattered showers again on Tuesday and then some drier air will move in for Wednesday and Thursday.  This will limit any shower activity during those days.

There is a hint that we may see a tropical low develop near the Yucatan and then move into the Gulf of Mexico.  Even if it doesn't develop it will still bring us a much better chance for showers and thunderstorms on Friday and through the weekend.

Highs will be in the upper 80s over the next several days, with lows in the low to mid 70s.
