Sarasota, FL (WWSB) - Dense fog will be in the area this morning until about 10 am and then begin to lift. Today conditions will begin to clear by 10 am followed by partly cloudy skies later in the day. Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80 with only a 20% for a passing shower. The colder weather will slowly work into the area on Saturday.
Expect the cold front to push though the Suncoast late on Friday into Saturday morning. This front along with a disturbance will produce mainly showers with some moderate to heavy rain later on Friday and into the night.
Most areas will see at least a 1/4 of and inch with some areas getting more then an inch of rain.
Right now it does not appear that the storms will reach severe limits, however we have to keep a close eye on the bigger ones that will push in from the Gulf.
The whole system should clear out of here by Saturday afternoon followed by much colder air invading the Suncoast. Winds will be on the rise, in fact small craft advisories will be necessary for our coast through Saturday night.
Highs on Saturday and Sunday will only be in the low to mid 60s. Lows will be in the upper 40s.
Get ready for even colder air late next week as this pattern will get even stronger next week.
