First Alert Weather: A little cooler and staying windy

Sarasota, FL (WWSB) - A windy Wednesday can be expected as NE winds will be blowing at 15-20 mph across the Suncoast.

A large area of high pressure over the SE U.S. will keep skies generally sunny throughout much of the day on Wednesday.  Winds out of the NNE will keep temperatures in the upper 70s and lows will be in the low 60s which is close to average for this time of year.

This area of high pressure will remain in control through Saturday with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies through the period.  A cold front will slip through Sunday morning bringing in some cooler air for Sunday and Monday.

This front is not expected to bring much rain as it move through over the weekend.  In fact the rain chance will be around 30% late Saturday and Early Sunday.

The cooler weather will stay with us through Tuesday and then a brief warm up will take place on Wednesday of next week.

The European model is hinting at an area of low pressure developing in the N. Gulf of Mexico on Thanksgiving and moving toward Florida on Friday.  Could be a wet Friday for shopping.
