NORTH PORT, FL - Rainwater from the north is flowing into the city of North Port. The record rainfall keeping crews busy monitoring nearly four dozen water control structures. Looking to steadily ease the water into nearby rivers.

A balancing act says Bill Vest who heads up Public Works. "There is definitely a lot of perpetration that goes into it. At the same time a lot Luck."

Emergency officials say so far they've been lucky with no reports of major flooding. We will have the very latest coming up this evening on ABC 7.
